The publisher 

LabCom.IFP Books is an open access transdisciplinary and multidisciplinary publishing platform devoted to online publication of scientific books in and across the fields of Communication, Philosophy and the Humanities.

With a strong aim in crossing disciplinary borders, our purpose is to contribute for the advance in the public circulation of knowledge in this broad field, both within the circle of Portuguese speaking countries and across other international scientific communities. 

We publish e-books in open access in Portuguese, English and other languages, also providing paperback copies, which may be ordered on a print-on-demand basis and will be charged accordingly. Besides a PDF edition, e-books also are available in the ePUB format.

 

Submission

LabCom.IFP Books welcomes proposals both from experienced scholars who aim for an open access circulation of their texts and from young researchers whose scientific work may be valuable and innovative. Proposals will be evaluated according to subject and scientific area(s).

We strongly encourage proposals from authors of transdisciplinary approaches in the broad domain of Humanities-Philosophy-Social Sciences, or proposals more specifically concerned with particular areas in which we have edited collections: Arts (Ars collection), Communication (Livros Labcom) and Philosophy (Practical Philosophy Books).

Authors may send proposals either to the director of LabCom.IFP Books or to the responsible for each specific collection in the areas of Arts, Communication and Philosophy (see contacts).

 

Scientific boards

LabCom.IFP Books is directed by Gisela Gonçalves and has a scientific committee responsible for pursuing its purpose and developing its design, which includes João Carlos Correia, José Rosa, Francisco Paiva and José António Domingues.

Editorial counsels, composed by reputed scholars from Portuguese and foreign universities, provide scientific evaluation of author’s proposals within specific areas (see colections).
